  5. For Kindle Version, clearer graphics

Have tried the book on various readers (Macbook, iPad) and get the same problem. Can barely see some of the schematics. Trying to read your service blue print and it's almost impossible. Frustrating.

Hi Thanks for the hint. We were not aware of this problem and will look into it. We’re very sorry for this – the whole ebook process was unfortunately done without us. Sorry!

  6. Include your references as part of the sample

What I was really looking for was a preview that would let me see the references you include, to determine I wanted to buy it. I want to see where it fits into the literature around design that includes ethnographic approaches. I tend to assess that by reviewing references, as well as ToC & sample pages.

Good idea! We haven’t thought about it yet and you’re indeed the first one mentioning this. Though it makes absolutely sense and we’ll integrating references during our next revision. Thanks!

  7. Great web site, very service oriented! :-)

Great web site, very service oriented! :-) works perfectly also on iPad (with sliding, oho!), however, the preview does not show up. Maybe you want to change that.

  8. Spreading the word

I haven't bought the book yet, it's been on my list for weeks until I found your amazing website. It's clear the site, besides the book, was also a product of design thinking for how useful, handy and easy to get it was. Getting a peep inside to spot the list of tools was all I needed to be even more sure I gotta get this book.

Like me, there are probably tons of people out there needing the same. I know about quite a few myself.

So if I were you, I'd put some work into advertising this amazing…

  10. Powerpoint template

I have created a powerpoint template, based on the canvas, in Spanish, that can be easily used for documentation, customer presentation and so on.

I will be very happy to translate it into English and share it to the Community.

Thanks for your idea! In fact, the book will be published in Japanese later this year! However, if you have a translated canvas ready, send it to us and we’re happy to put it on the website..

    Cheers!

  14. Translate to Dutch

Dutch people are convinced that they speak and understand English very well...

Nevertheless I would find it much more convenient to read a Dutch version. I believe that by reading in my native language the adoption of SDTwill increase considerably.

Are you guys planning a Dutch version of TiSDT?

  17. Translate to Russian, common! =)

Hey, there are so many russian-speaking people around the world and the service design is just at the ground level in the post-Soviet countries. So we need this!

  18. Suggest re-word pg. 73

Is this the right place to post a comment like this? FYI: This form and it's implied focus on structure, compatibility, etc) makes me havefeelings of doubt and wonder if I'm wasting time articulating something that will never be read. I'm questioning myself right now.

I take issue with the author's use of these two words: "Putatively" and "banal"

Considering the context, does lofty language help the reader's experience as much as it flaunts the authors extensive vocabulary? They make me feel stupid and they irritate me. And lest you judge me ignorant, consider that I am your customer/user and…

Andrew, I am very sorry for that. This was of course not our intention at all. That sometimes awkward or complicated language derives mostly from the fact that we are not native speakers ourselves. We had a hard time editing and correcting our texts with the help of native speakers. Maybe some bits and pieces remained complicated, we are sorry for that. Moreover, many authors come from academic fields which can sometime result in a more sophisticated language. We took many efforts to handle that. We hope for your understanding that this is the best result we could get over 2 years with 23 authors. Next time we will be better. Thank you for comment and I hope you will enjoy the book anyway! Cheers, Jakob
